Purpose
I connected a furniture company’s processes in one ERP system, supporting the team’s work and collaboration with customers.
Problem
Work relied on email, Excel and documents. Scattered information made shared data harder to access and decisions harder to make.
My contribution
I was responsible for the full journey from discovering business needs through defining scope, architecture and implementation to launching the system.
Capabilities
- Production and offers — the system covers production, preparing offers and handling complaints on the company side.
- Customer portal — B2B customers sign in to their own panel to view offers, place orders and check their status.
- Quote calculators — quick quotes for changes to catalogue products and a melamine panel calculator with edge banding and live pricing; quotes are kept in a register.
- Production lead times — customers check the estimated lead time for a chosen system, element and finish.
- Complaints — a form with an automatically assigned number, description and photos, plus a register of reports.
- Announcements and downloads — news from the manufacturer and documents in one place.
Outcome
Shared data is available in one place, which supports the team’s everyday work and collaboration with customers.
